Winchester Model 1873 Carbine, Third Model, mfg. 1883, lever action, .32-20 caliber, having an 18" octagonal barrel over the tubular magazine with forward barrel band, blade front sight, the top flat of the barrel marked "Winchester's-Repeating Arms. New Haven Ct," and in front of the receiver "32-20", adjustable rear sight, movable dust cover over the receiver chamber, the upper tang marked "Model 1873", the underside at the brass elevator base marked "32 Cal.", retains the lever lock and serial number at the lower tang, walnut stock with curved steel butt plate, the wood with minor scuffs, small professional repair at receiver on right forestock, left butt stock with intact crack that does not appear at opposite side (stock is strong), metal is silver tone with light scratches and rubs, action is good, bore semi-bright, defined rifling, dark spot, pitting, SN 123975A *ANTIQUE*
