Lot description
U.S. Model 1819 J.H. Hall Harpers Ferry Percussion Rifle, Second Type, mfg. 1832, .52 caliber, 33" round barrel, ram rod, blade front sight, three barrel bands, the breech block marked at the top on four lines "J.H. Hall, H. Ferry, U.S., 1832", the breech accessed by a lever at the underside forward of the trigger guard, hardwood stock, sling loop at middle barrel band and at front of trigger guard, shaped hand grip at rear of trigger guard, steel butt plate, installed U.S. Model 1819 bayonet with scabbard now in two parts, wood in overall good condition, barrel silver tone with black spots, breech block retains light case hardening color, action is good, bore is surprisingly mostly bright with strong twist rifling, NSN, *ANTIQUE*
