American silverplate loving cup, Adelphi Silver Company, New York, early 20th c., monogrammed RMJ to one side, tapering lower body flanked by downturned boar tusk handles, short stem ending on a stepped circular foot, some overall denting and small plating loss encircling rim and foot, approx 8.25"h, 7"w, 5.25"d, 1.75lbs Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
