English Georgian period mahogany chest of drawers, late 18th c., rectangular top with ribbed trim, fitted with three short drawers, over three long drawers, repousse brass drawer pulls with hen and chicks motif, rising on bracket feet, one hardware mount lacking curved pull, approx 40.25"h, 38.5"w, 21"d Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
