English sterling silver coffee pot, likely George II period, having repousse scrolling foliates and floral motifs, hinged cover with acorn finial, wood handle, one cartouche with incised stag's head and triple monogram LMJ, opposite side with double monogram JL, rising on stepped circular foot, body unmarked, partially obliterated hallmarks and lowercase "r" date code underfoot, silver brazing marks where foot joins body, possibly evidence of repair or later assembly, approx 11.25"h, 8.5"w, 4.5"d, 34.48ozt (inclusive of handle) Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
