Lot description

(lot of 3) American and French sterling and silverplate service articles: (1) Tiffany & Company Makers sterling silver shoe horn, simple form with hook stem, approx 5.5"l, 1.5"w, 2.21ozt; (1) Christofle silverplate bottle opener, profile portrait of "Napoleon Empereur" to one side, laurel and bee to the other, approx 3"l, 2"w; 170.6 grams total (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance. The estate features an extensive array of English furniture alongside antique decorative objects, the kind of exceptional pieces that only reveal themselves to collectors who know where to look and what to seek.
