American sterling silver water pitcher, Whiting Manufacturing Company, four-pint capacity, having scrolled handle and gadrooned trim, hallmarked sterling with maker's mark and numerals 2328 underfoot, approx 14 5/8"h, 9.5"w, 6"d, 37.90ozt Provenance: The lifetime collection of Lynn Roth Jordan (Louisiana, Texas, 1943-2021). As an active member of the Austin Antiques Club for many years, Lynn was deeply embedded in the antiques community here in Austin. Her New Orleans upbringing in a family of collectors (many of the pieces come from her mother's estate), combined with her frequent trips to England, gave her a unique understanding of provenance, quality, and historical significance.
