Custom-upholstered king-sized headboard, 20th c., in silk upholstery, depicting songbirds perched on foliate branches, with ribbon trim, accompanied by demilune valence, (three) curtain panels, and gathered skirt in matched textile, headboard: approx 73.5"h, 82"w, largest curtain panel: approx 118"l, 42"w, smallest curtain panel: approx 78"l, 68"w, skirt: approx 109"l, 106"w, valence: approx 16.5"h, 32"w, 16"d Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship PLEASE NOTE: All of the accompanying bed textiles in this auction would likely benefit from a professional cleaning. Though we do not currently observe any major tears or losses, most are likely to have some staining, missing trim, and evidence of wear.
