French Louis XVI style canape/ settee, late 19th c., stripped wood frame, continuous curved back over the serpentine-front seat, in later cream-colored upholstery patterned with raised chenille checks, on front tapering fluted legs, approx 36"h, 85"w, 32.5"d, seat height: 18"h Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship
