(lot of 4) French Louis XV style paint decorated armchairs, early 20th c., each having carved shell crest, over woven cane back and seat, down-filled squab cushion in striped textile, rising on cabriole legs, joined by x-form cross stretcher, ending on whorl feet, one with re-caned seat, one with loss to cane back and seat, approx 36.5"h, 27"w, 20"d, seat height (without cushion): approx 16.5"h Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship
