Southwest sterling silver bolo tie, Les Baker (1935-2014) Shop, scrimshaw plaque of a bighorn sheep, signed BJW, two silver feather drop pendants, silver bolo tips, braided black leather cord, ornament stamped sterling/ DC LB thunderbird picto mark, bolo ornament only: approx 2 5/8"h, 2.25"w, 61.3 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
