Native American silver (content unknown) bolo tie, Beverly Etsate (Zuni, b.1951), oval plaque with cobblestone inlay ram katsina, silver bolo tips, braided black leather cord, ornament signed Bev Etsate/ Zuni, bolo ornament only: approx 3 1/8"h, 1 5/8"w, 51.1 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: the collection of a psychiatrist who taught at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas in the 1960s and went on to become a founding faculty member of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he taught thousands of doctors over a career into the 2000s. The doctor amassed his collection over several years with dedication, care, a critical eye for detail, and cultural appreciation.
