.(lot of 2) U.S. Military Model 1881 Dress Helmets: (1) Cavalry Dress Helmet, black with reddish orange plume, the front with the large brass plate depicting the American eagle holding a E Pluribus Unum" banner and federal shield, the visor strap with side buttons having crossed swords, strap is torn and missing a 6" piece mostly at back side, the interior sweat band with size "7" label, the backside of the sweat band with makers name "Horstmann, Philadelphia", the interior spike plate also marked Horstmann, overall in very good condition with some surface damage to hat above front plate; (1) Infantry Dress Helmet, black with blue cord, helmet, the front  large brass plate depicting the American Eagle holding a "E Pluribus Unum banner" and the federal shield, the visor chin strap side buttons with crossed rifles, the interior lining with some tears). in rough condition, for shipping approx. 11.25" x 10.5" x 6.5", total of both approx. 1.80lbs   Provenance: Collection of T'Odon Charles (Chuck) Leshikar, Jr., (Texas,1946-2020), Vietnam, U.S. Army Lt. ,“Delta Raiders,” D Company, 2nd Battalion, 501st Airborne Infantry Regiment, later Echo Company commander, Silver Star, three Bronze Stars, Soldiers Medal, Purple Heart.
