Chinese carved wood figure of the Bodhisattva Guanyin (Avalokiteshvara), elongated earlobes, downcast eyes, facial features highlighted with paint, loosely draped robes, holding a lotus blossom in her right hand, standing on a double lotus base, sealed cavity (approx 1.25" x 7/8") at the back of the sculpture, small losses to fingers and crown, lacking second leaf on lotus stem, UV examination reveals adhesive residue around right wrist, approx 10.5"h, 3"diam, 1lbs Provenance: from a fine Houston estate
