Chinese carved wood figure of the Buddha, hair arranged in tight curls around domed ushnisha, elongated earlobes, downcast eyes, facial features highlighted with paint, loosely draped robes, holding a small vessel in the palm of his left hand, standing on a double lotus base, open cavity (approx 1 3/8" x 7/8") at the back of the sculpture, losses to fingers on both hands, visible glue residue around base of vessel, approx 10 3/8"h, 3"diam, 1lbs Provenance: from a fine Houston estate
