English carved oak bracket clock, late 19th/ early 20th c., having squared case with pointed finials, carved scrollwork, and running ornamentation, central gilt metal dial with Roman numeral hour markers, dial marked Caramer, Kuss, & Co., 56 New Oxford St., London, time-strike-and-chime three-train chain driven fusee movement marked Caramer and Kuss, London, rising on stepped base, accompanied by pendulum and key, last serviced in May 2020, clock winds well, not tested with pendulum making operational status unknown, approx 17.5"h, 11"w, 9"d, 26lbs Provenance: From the estate of Carl Carter (Texas, 1955-2023)
