Lot description
Japanese Navy Double Barrel Signal Pistol, early 1920's, marked at the upper backstrap "character in circle", "anchor", "symbol of the manufacturer, The Kayaba Company, and serial number "642", the serial number also appears at the underside of the barrel lug and at a cross piece on the frame under the barrel, the "642 serial number also appears twice on the underside of each grip written in blue and in a black stamp, #2 is visible on both triggers, a slide switch on the left frame pushed forward locks the barrel closed, sliding the switch toward the rear allows the barrels to be opened using the curved pull lever under the two 4" barrels and simultaneously allows the double hammers to be set set activating both triggers, checkered wood grips, lanyard loop, overall in good condition with expected rub and scratches, mechanics operate correctly, for shipping 6.5" x 8.5" x 2.5", 2.45lbs (38) *Provenance: Collection of Billy Wayne Dickey, USN, (Texas, 1936-2022)
