British W.W. Greener No.1 MKIII* Signal Pistol, mfg 1941, markings include at left frame aforementioned maker, model and date, two broad arrows, "crown over upside down E and 3 backward E", left barrel with SN "1438" repeated at right frame, "crown over BV" at rear right frame, right barrel with "crown over BV, crown over BP" proof marks and "4 over C within a diamond form", "A" behind trigger guard, barrel lug with SN at right and underside, "A" and "1" under left grip, brass with steel thumb lever to open breech, wood grips, the left grip with painted "1", lanyard ring, scratches dents, action good, for shipping 6" x 9.5" x 2", 3.30lbs (143) *Provenance: Collection of Billy Wayne Dickey, USN (Texas, 1936-2022)
