(lot of 2) Unusual Victorian wax valentine whimsies, late 19th c., each with religious figures and foliate motifs, encased in domed glass cloche, including: (1) depicting the Madonna and Child with two angels, under silk flower archway, with architectural cathedral and rose bush, rising on seashell-clad platform base, overall: approx 12"h, 7.5"w, 3.5"d; (1) depicting a dark-skinned Mary and Christ Child, with gilt-metal foliate motif, overall: approx 4.75"h, 3"w, 1.75"d; 1.25lbs total Provenance: Fred Nevill Antiques, one of Houston Texas' foremost antiques stores
