Chinese carved hardwood cabinet, upper double-door cabinet and large pair of cabinet doors mounted with serpentine hardstone dragons woven through auspicious clouds, on chased brass strap hinges, each enclosing open interior storage, large doors also having false bottom panel with pierced lucky coin motif revealing additional storage, lower panel depicting dragons dueling for a flaming pearl, side panels with various auspicious motifs amongst scrollwork including bi disc, bats, and Buddhist wan, on straight supports, lacking upper cabinet, approx 71.25"h, 36"w, 18.25"d Note: matching cabinet retaining the upper cabinet and set of six wall panels offered in this auction Provenance: the curated collection of a long-time Austin, Texas designer
