Lot description
Chilean M1895 Rifle, manufactured by Loewe, Berlin, bolt action, 7 x 57mm, caliber, blade front sight, cleaning rod, bayonet lug, front barrel band with sling swivel, rear adjustable ladder sight to 2000 meters, the receiver ring with the Chilean crest, marked at the left receiver wall with serial number and "Mauser Chileno Modelo 1895 Manufactura Loewe Berlin", steel butt plate, hardwood stock with rear sling swivel and stamped with the Chilean acceptance stamp at left rear, several Loewe crossed hammer acceptance marks, the straight bolt marked "E1808", bolt marked "55" below safety lever, serial number matched at left receiver ring and stamped in stock below same area, again at floor plate and plate tang, wood with scratches and dents, silver tone metal with light surface rust in places, action is good, bore is semi-bright to dark with rifling, SN H1684 *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER*
