Lot description

(lot of 3) Pocket watches and cases: (1) Longines, Swiss, operating, the white face, with Roman numerals and seconds sub-dial, we were unable to open the screw back for a description of the movement, the case is approx. 48.08mm diameter, the watch with a rope chain marked "C&H Co" (Chapin & Hollister, Rhode Island) and further marked "1/10th Gold (C&H specialized in gold fill); (1) Illinois pocket watch, not operating, having a now crazed Montgomery railroad porcelain dial with chips at "7" and "9", Arabic numerals, seconds sub-dial, lacks crystal, the case back with engraved initials, we were unable to open the screw back for a description of the movement, the case is approx.48.84mm diameter; (1) Black Forest carved wood pocket watch case, 19th/20th c., the top with floral carving and wood hinges opening to the fabric lined circular interior with a cutout for a watch winder, overall approx. 7/9"h, 3.5"w, 2.5"d, for shipping all total about 6.4 ounces
