Fine santo/ altar figure, El Nino Jesus (Christ Child), Spain, 19th c., gesso over carved wood with polychrome paint, inset glass eyes and pierced gilt-metal halo, in sequined silk robe and delicate floral lace tunic, braided metallic thread belt with tasseled ends, standing atop parcel-gilt socle, further raised on canted wood platform, typical small chips and losses to fingers, figure: approx 19"h, 8"w, 8"d, overall: approx 24.5"h, 8"w, 8"d, 4.25lbs
