(lot) Southeast Asian parcel-gilt and red lacquered palm leaf Kammavaca (Kamawa-sa) sutra or tablets, Burma (Myanmar), comprising (fourteen) panels with black lacquered Pali magyi-zi script from the Theravada Buddhist text, "Vinaya-Pitaka (Basket of Discipline)," describing monastic ordination rites, (two) framing panels with incised scrollwork and figures seated in padmasana, on later iron stand, accompanied by Italian pamphlet marked "Silvano Boroli da Maurizio Rosenberg Colorini," dated March 1998, largest panel: approx 5.5"h, 23.25"w, overall on stand: approx 10"h, 21"w, 5.5"d, 13.5lbs Provenance: Treasures from the vaults of a Dallas designer
