Unusual tin-glazed earthenware animal figure, Delphin Massier (French, 1836-1907), Vallauris, c.1880s, modeled as a seated tabby cat, with painted facial features, artist's ink signature and maker's mark underfoot, one ear intact with old professional restoration and some overpainting, approx 10 5/8"h, 5.5"w, 4.25"d, 3.5lbs Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate. Purchased at Animal Art Antiques, New Orleans, Louisiana
