Lot description
Folk art "santos de palo" religious figural group, Nativity scene with Joseph and Mary flanking the infant Jesus in a manger, by Florencio Caban (Puerto Rican, 1876–1951), carved wood with gesso and polychrome paint, accompanied by a copy of a certificate of authenticity issued by Galeria Botello, San Juan, approx 7"h, 9"w, 5"d, 1.25lbs Provenance: the Stanley Family's fine Tarrytown Estate. PLEASE NOTE: Folk art pieces are inherently fragile. Most are likely to have repairs, small breaks, chips, and imperfections. Please assume that they are not in perfect condition and bid accordingly.
