Second-class (ex tela serica quae tetigit cor) of Saint Roque Gonzalez de Santa Cruz (Jesuit Priest and Martyr, Guarani-Spanish, 1576-1628), housed in a gilt-metal theca reliquary with scalloped border, red wax seal with the Archbishop of Aversanus's coat of arms verso, further encased in a cruciform altar reliquary, with cast foliate motifs, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Carmelus Cesarano, Congregation of the Holy Redemptorists, Doctor of Theology and Apostles, Archbishop of Aversanus, certificate dated August 30th, 1933, theca: approx 1.25"diam, overall: approx 9.25"h, 5 5/8"w, 3.5"d, 439.2 grams (inclusive of all materials) Note: According to Catholic tradition, Saint Gonzalez's heart was miraculously saved from being consumed by fire in 1628. It is preserved and venerated in Paraguay today.
