Second-class (ex arca sepulcrali) relic of Saint Francis Xavier (born Francisco de Jasso y Azpilicueta, Jesuit missionary and co-founder of the Society of Jesus, 1506-1552), housed in a gold-tone metal theca reliquary, with pierced filigree border, red wax seal with Cardinal Clement Micara's coat of arms verso, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Cardinal Clement Micara, Divine Mercy Bishop of Veliterno, certificate dated January 25th, 1960, theca: approx 1 3/8"diam, 6.8 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE
