(lot of 64) French library shelf books, from the "Journal Encyclopedique," a periodical founded, published, and largely authored by Pierre Rousseau (French, 1716-1785), each with gilt-embossed leather binding, marbleized text block and end pages, and raised spine bands, including volumes from 1757 to 1769, largest: approx 6.5"h, 4"w, 1"d, 37.75lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile. Most are likely to have patination, foxing, losses to the text block, and wear to the binding commensurate with age and use. Please assume that they are not in perfect condition and bid accordingly. Per our terms, there will be no condition reports or refunds based on condition.
