Continental silver-gilt carved wood element, 19th c., now fashioned as a single-light table lamp, modeled as a draped putto standing beside scroll-form cartouche, with remnants of two layers of printed text, below applied engraving of cherub masks, on stepped plinth with incised floral motif, rising on non-integral platform base in velvet upholstery, with tubular metal standard issuing single light, observed operating, carving: approx 14.75"h, 12"w, 3"d, overall: approx 21.25"h, 12.5"w, 5.25"d, 4.75lbs Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas
