Louis XV style black lacquer commode, early 20th c., having serpentine marble top with molded edge, over three drawers with carved figural scenes of court ladies in a waterside courtyard, side panels with polychrome birds among floral spray, rising on cabriole legs, ending on gilt-metal sabots, marble top intact with professional restoration to left corner, front left sabot present but unattached, approx 34.5"h, 40.5"w, 19"d Provenance: The collection of Kathryn V. Alexander, an antiques dealer and designer with over 20 years of experience operating shops in New Orleans, Louisiana, and Middleburg, Virginia. Kathryn retired in 2020 and now lives in Georgetown, Texas
