Lot description
French mantle clock, last quarter 19th c., the time and strike movement stamped A*B (A-star-B), the mark of Louis Achille Brocot (French, 1878-1878) and Brocot & Delettrez, Paris, the dial marked by the British retailer Manoah Rhodes & Son, Bradford (1836-1888), the brass case accented with upper brass finials, enameled faced columns, panels and the Roman numeral dial face with depictions of raised colorful birds, butterflies and foliage, all mounted on bracket resting on a worn blue velvet topped giltwood footed plinth, movement seems to operate correctly including striker but lacks pendulum, overall approx. 17"h, 11"w, 6.5"d, 18.25lbs
