First-class (ex ossibus) relic of Saint Celestine I, Supreme Pontiff and Confessor (Rome, c.359-432), housed in a gilt-metal theca reliquary, red wax seal with Petrus Canisius van Lierde's coat of arms verso, accompanied by certificate of authenticity issued by Bishop Petrus Canisius Jean van Lierde, Order of the Hermits of Saint Augustine, certificate dated May 3, 1954, overall: approx 1 3/8"diam, 10.5 grams (inclusive of all materials) Provenance: from the extensive collection of a long-time contributor of relics, Catholic church goods, and liturgical antiques NOTE: ALL JEWELRY & COIN LOTS REALIZING OVER $1,000 MUST BE PAID BY BANK WIRE
