(lot of 5) Antique Sheffield Fixed Blade Knives, including: (1) Bowie knife having an 8" clip point blade marked at the left side below the spine "B4*ANY", further marked at the ricasso "B4*Any, F.Ward & Co Cutlery Sheffield" (Frederick Ward, 1825-1908), , a brass guard, the four pin stag handle with a narrow name plate at the left side, the steel blade with some dark spots, housed in a worn leather sheath, overall approx. 12.50"l; (1) Bowie knife having a 7.1/8" blade marked at the left ricasso "R. Bunting And Son", the brass guard over a floral form bolster, the handle is mother of pearl, housed in a leather sheath, blade with some black spots, housed in a worn leather sheath, overall approx. 10.5"l; (1) Trailing point 6.5" blade bulbous shaped near the upper ricasso, marked at the left side "Joseph H Elliot & Sons, Cutlery, Sheffield", below "backwards C, cross pattee, and C", a bone handle marked by a previous owner "J. Foote, 1877", blade is rough, handle is split, overall approx. 10.5"l; (1) Bowie knife having a 9.25" clip point blade marked at the left ricasso "Mottram & Taylor, Sheffield", a brass guard and bone handle, the pommel a U.S. 1857 Seated Liberty Dime, blade with some dark spots and pitting, overall approx. 13"l; (1) Spear point 10.5" blade marked at the left side "V crown R over Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers To Her Majesty, star and cross" this Victorian era knife with bone handle, blade with some dark spots and scratches, housed in a worn black leather sheath, overall 18.25"l, for shipping total of all approx. 2.15lbs
