French Napoleon III mother-of-pearl folding fan, late 19th c., paper ribbing painted on both sides, one side with a hand-embellished lithographic print depicting an allegorical scene with maidens in Classical-style dress, the reverse with hand-painted Riviera landscape scene, pierced mother-of-pearl sticks with silvered embellishments, housed in a dual-sided standing shadowbox frame, fan: approx 10.5"h, 19.75"w, overall: approx 13 3/8"h, 21"w, 5"d, 3.5lbs Provenance: The Tarrytown, Austin, Texas estate of Janice Holliman Stanfield
