Meissen porcelain nodding pagoda figure, after the model by J.J. Kaendler (Johann Joachim Kandler, German, 1706-1775), modeled as a grinning female figure in a purple-lined robe decorated with "Indianische Blumen," seated crossed-legged, detachable head with a lead counter-balance, the head, hands and tongue all articulated, body with underglaze-blue crossed swords mark, incised model number 2884, intact with professional restoration and varied degrees of overpainting, approx 12.5"h, 13"w, 12.5"d, 15.75lbs
