Lot description
German WWII-era police dress sword, likely mfg. c.1935-1945, the 33.5" blade with stopped fuller at both sides and marked at the right ricasso "Emil Voos, Solingen" together with his tree stump with snake logo, a D-form guard at the black handle decorated with German Eagle holding a swastika and an oak leaf ferrule, the handle retains the sword knot of the German Ordnungpolizei, the blade is bright with light scratching, some nickel loss at guard, no nicks observed at the blade edge, housed in a black metal scabbard with some finish loss, overall: approx 39"l, 2.25lbs (for shipping purposes only)
