(lot of 12) French library shelf books, all with gilt-embossed leather binding and raised spine bands, including: (4) "Dictionnaire de la Langue Francaise (Dictionary of the French Language)," by E. Littre, published by Librarie Hachette and Company, Paris, 1882, with marbleized page ends, complete in four volumes, (8) "Le Panorama de la Guerre (The Panorama of War)," with text by Henry Leveque, published by Librarie Illustrie Jules Tallandier, Paris, with marbleized covers, largest: approx 13"h, 10"w, 2.75"d, 79lbs total PLEASE NOTE: All of the antique library shelf books in this auction are inherently fragile. Most are likely to have patination, foxing, losses to the text block, and wear to the binding commensurate with age and use. Please assume that they are not in perfect condition and bid accordingly.
