Palatial Italian School framed architectural painted wall panel, 18th/ 19th c., tempura on canvas laid on panel, having central figural scene depicting nun kneeling at a cross beside draped female figure, with background of castles and rolling hills, in trompe l'oeil molded scrollwork, apparently unsigned, some overall paint flaking, discoloration and warping to canvas, sight: approx 92"h, 55.5"w, overall: approx 97"h, 61"w, 68lbs Note: one of two similarly-styled architectural panels offered in this auction Provenance: the contents of a Stratford Hills mansion
