(lot of 2) English Victorian Staffordshire pottery mantle figures, late 19th c., including: (1) Highland bagpipe player, modeled as a standing male figure in Scottish kilt, flanked by foliated supports, retaining label at verso inscribed "Highland figure from Lord Bicester's Estate in Bicester, Oxfordshire, England," restoration to crossed foot, approx 15.5"h, 7"w, 4"d; (1) young boy reclined atop spaniel, restoration to boy's head and dog's face, approx 9.5"h, 7"w, 2.75"d; 4.5lbs total Provenance: The estate and interior design collection of Gay Ratliff (Martha Gay Kokernot Ratliff, Austin, Texas, 1942-2023) PLEASE NOTE: Earthenware pottery pieces are inherently fragile.
