Monumental French Provincial carved oak wedding armoire, late 19th c., having stepped cornice with central crossed torch and quiver of arrows, in floral bouquet with lovebirds, dual paneled cabinet doors depicting carved flowers, instruments, and harvest motifs, revealing shelved interior, rising on short cabriole legs, ending on whorl feet, retaining Chemins de Fer de l'Ouest import label at verso and interior, retaining The Whimsey Shoppe, Dallas, Texas resale label verso, approx 101"h, 67"w, 27"d Provenance: From the Byram Family's Above Stratford Mansion. John Byram, a prominent Austin-based real estate developer, and his late wife Sally Byram curated this French Provincial style estate with the help of notable architects and interior designers. The home has remained untouched since Sally's untimely passing in 2006, serving as a testament to her taste for sophistication and craftsmanship
