Framed acrylic on canvas painting, Portrait of Elizabeth Watson Donnell, signed lower left Inzer (Charles Inzer, American, 20th c.), three-quarter-length, in a red evening gown, reclined on a patterned sofa, surrounded by house plants, inscribed verso "Elizabeth Watson Donnell - Houston, Texas/ painted: Nov. 1971 - finished July 1972/ Charles Inzer - Memphis, Tenn.," craquelure, canvas: approx 36"h, 30"w, overall: 37.25"h, 31.25"w, 6lbs Note: Elizabeth (Bett) Ann Watson Donnell (1936-2021) attended Southern Methodist University, majoring in botany, and had a life-long love of gardening and flowers. After moving to Houston, Texas, she had a long career as a couture fashion buyer for The Smart Shop.
