U.S. Cavalry Officers Field Saddle, Model 1917, appearing in good condition, brown leather, one stirrup marked Eglentine, England, an oval metal label under left side marked "Chas. K. Davis, Major (stamped over Capt) 124th Cav.", includes bridle, Martingale, lead ropes: (1) Customs Declaration dated 19 October, 1945. signed in two places by C.K. Davis, Lt. Col. as owner and Davis as Inspection Officer; (1) U.S. Model 1936 Musette bag, marked at one side "C.K. Davis, Lt. Col. Cav, 0-189000", maker marked "Hamlin Canvas Goods Co., 1943"; (1) all items housed in a heavy wood Army green box stenciled at the front "Lt. Col. C.K. Davis", the interior lid with an ink written notation "Col. Charles K. Davis, Saddle, Bridle, Martingale, Donated by Mrs. Myrtle Davis", box with all items approx. 31.75" x 31" x 20", 92LBS   *Note: Lt. Col. Charles K. Davis, 1895-1963.
