Lee...several columns, a patriotic poem, newspaper in poor condition, multiple pages, tears and folds; (1) "Vicksburg Daily Whig", Vicksburg, Mississippi, Tuesday Morning, October, 14, 1862, recount of battles including columns on Battle of Corinth with named wounded and killed soldiers, brief article on Cherokee Nation  and John Ross, principal chief, foxing, water spots, tears; (1) "The Weekly Standard", Port Gibson, Mississippi, December 9, 1865, articles include "Mosby and his Men", "Memorial to the President in Behalf of Jefferson Davis" (during this time Davis was a prisoner and including being imprisoned at Ft. Monroe, Virginia from May, 1865 until May, 1867), the article continues urging clemency for Davis, an article regarding missing and killed soldiers, 4 pages, folds, tears, foxing; (2) "The New York Herald, April 7, 1862 and November 22, 1863, many battle reports from around the country, overall in better condition than former items, tears and spots; (1) framed letter datelined Washington Arsenal, September 10th, 1863 to "Lieut.
