Lot description
French Empire white and black marble portico clock, 19th c., with bronze dore mounts, the drum case surmounted by an eagle, flanked by flowering vases, white enamel dial with Roman numeral hours, Arabic numeral seconds at 15, 30, 45 and 60, inscribed Persevalle a Riems [sic], time-and-strike movement, silk suspension and count wheel, two fluted column supports above the shaped molded base, with beaded edge and paneled frieze applied with pierced foliate plaques, on toupie feet, accompanied by sun-form pendulum, may be overwound, not currently operational, approx 23.75"h, 16.5"w, 5"d, 35lbs
