French Empire gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock, early to mid 19th c., standing figure of Orpheus playing his lyre, white  dial with Roman numeral hours, inscribed Lucin, Rue des 2. Ponts No. 14 a Paris, above frieze depicting Cerberus and Orpheus in Hades, time-and-strike movement with silk suspension, on a stepped rectangular base, lacking pendulum and bell, losses to dial near winding holes, not currently operational, approx 17"h, 12"w, 5"d, 14.25lbs
