Winchester Model 1873 Rifle, Second Model, mfg. 1881, lever action, caliber unmarked-believed to be .44-40, 24" round barrel, barrel top marked "Winchester's Repeating Arms, New Haven, Ct., King's-Improvement-Patented March 29, 1856, October 16, 1860," tubular magazine, fixed front sight, rear sight lacks elevator, dust cover with rear edge serrations, model date at upper barrel tang, serial number at lower tang, walnut stock, crescent steel butt plate with port, wood with scratching and dents, metal is mostly brown with scratches, scratches at right side plate, action is good, bore is semi-bright with pitting, rifling appears strong, SN 65465 ANTIQUE
