Smith & Wesson Model 10, double action, .38 S&W caliber, 5" barrel, blade front sight, six round swingout cylinder with hand ejector, S&W logo at right frame mostly worn off, four line address at right frame, checkered wood logo grips, lanyard hole at butt frame, metal mostly silver tone finish, light scratching, cylinder drag line, action is good, bore is bright with good rifling, shows some wear, serial number matched at three places, SN C308856  *REQUIRES FFL TRANSFER*    *PROVENANCE: As per the attached photo of the 'Notice of Award' to our consignor from the State Purchasing and General Services Commission, Austin, Texas on March 20, 1980, requesting payment for successful bids on firearms offered by the Firearms Officer, Texas Department of Corrections, Huntsville Texas, a sealed bid solicitation solicitation opened on March 7, 1980, line 19.
