French Transitional style mahogany commode, after the original model by Jean-Francois Oeben (French, 1721-1963) for the Chateau de Menars of Madame de Pompadour, late 19th c., having shaped marble top, over breakfront case mounted with scrolled foliate bronze dore, fitted with frieze drawer, and two standard drawers with ribbon and garland pulls, rising on cabriole legs terminating on mounted ormolu paw feet, case verso stamped CAP under crown motif, approx 38.25"h, 56"w, 24"d Provenance: the contents of the prominent San Antonio Holt Family's Terrell Hills home
