Lot description
(lot of 3) Japanese Dirk and Tanto knives: (1) Japanese Model1914 Naval Officers Dirk, the blade to the habaki collar approx. 8.1/8"l with fuller at both sides, the blade with nicks and roughness beginning about 1.5" from blade tip for about 3", Japanese markings at the blade side of the guard, the wire wrapped sharkskin handle a cherry blossom each side, the scabbard with sharkskin having some cracks and a loose section at one side, the brass throat with a button release, the throat will slide off the scabbard if pulled without using the release, overall approx. 15.5"l; (2) Japanese Tanto knives, each with black lacquered scabbard and handle, one with approx. 6.7/8" blade, the other with an approx. 7" wavy hamon line edge blade (both measured from the tip to the habaki blade collar), blade edges good without nicks, one scabbard with finish loss, overall one approx. 13.18"l, one approx. 12.5"l, for shipping all total 1.35lbs
